ISO 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Foundation Course Overview
OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series) is an international standard used by organisations to put in place a set of guidelines to control and minimise occupational health and safety risks. This is a one day course aiming to provide delegates with the knowledge to create and implement continuous improvement of Occupational Health and Safety in the workplace. Courses in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) aim to raise your awareness of safety in the workplace to predict, minimise, or eliminate risks.
The law requires employers to provide adequate instruction, information, training, and supervision of health and safety, in the workplace. This is based on the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974, which was then expanded to the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999.
This ISO OHSAS 18001 Foundation course is the first part of the four-stage ISO 18001 certification that will produce a fully competent ISO user, who can implement the skills and knowledge obtained throughout the training to their organisation. The following three stages are: ISO 18001 Internal Auditor, ISO 18001 Lead Auditor, and ISO 18001 Lead Implementer.
