PRINCE2 Agile® Foundation and Practitioner Course Overview

PRINCE2 Agile® is a blend of the 'Agile technique' and PRINCE2 or Projects IN Controlled Environments. PRINCE2 Agile® 'works' by applying various Agile practices to PRINCE2®, which focuses on strategy and upper-tier decision making, while Agile focuses on responsiveness, autonomy and instant benefits realisation. PRINCE2 Agile® can help businesses because it fully accommodates the needs of modern project management. Implementing PRINCE2 Agile® within an organisation can provide various benefits, such as the enhanced value of delivery, reduced risk of faulty products via incremental and iterative delivery, and the emergence of disciplined flexibility.

This 4-day PRINCE2 Agile® Foundation and Practitioner Certification is widely popular among project management professionals as it combines the flexibility of agile methods with the framework of PRINCE2®. This certification training will allow delegates to gain the skills required to create management controls while working in an agile environment. Delegates will learn how to implement PRINCE2 Agile®'s methodologies to place project activities to do the right thing at the right time. This PRINCE2 Agile® Foundation and Practitioner certification course also include exams, and our highly experienced trainer who has years of experience in teaching PRINCE2 Agile® courses will help you pass the exam.

This training course will cover various essential concepts, such as:

  • Project management basics
  • Understanding PRINCE2®
  • Common agile methodologies
  • Blending PRINCE2® and agile
  • What to fix and what to flex?
  • Agile behaviours and the PRINCE2® principles
  • Tailoring the business case theme
  • Agile and the PRINCE2® processes

After attending this certification course, delegates will be able to tailor the PRINCE2® framework to work well with agile delivery methods. They will also be able to ensure effective communication both within the team and with external stakeholders.

The PRINCE2 Agile® Foundation and Practitioner certification course is fully accredited by PeopleCert on behalf of AXELOS, a world-leading best practice provider.

PRINCE2 Agile® Foundation Training

The PRINCE2 Agile® Foundation section of the course lasts 2 days and aims to introduce delegates to the core components of PRINCE2 Agile®. This world-renowned project management certification will familiarise delegates with the basics of PRINCE2® and how to tailor the method to be used in an agile context. Delegates will also acquire an understanding of fundamental agile concepts and techniques, such as Scrum, Lean Startup, Kanban, and Cynefin.

The certification is intended as an additional route to PRINCE2 Agile® Practitioner for those who do not previously hold PRINCE2® certification. Prior knowledge of PRINCE2® is not required, making it suitable for a wide audience who work on, deliver, or manage agile projects and project teams.

PRINCE2 Agile® Practitioner Training

The PRINCE2 Agile® Practitioner section of the course lasts 2 days and aims to educate delegates on how PRINCE2 can be tailored to agile-specific scenarios. PRINCE2 Agile® Practitioner has been developed as a single-tier certification to allow those who already have an existing project management knowledge to learn how Agile can be incorporated into their projects.

By combining the methods of PRINCE2® and Agile, the certification aims to provide individuals with a framework for their projects that is precise and controllable, whilst still being quick to adapt to sudden changes. By completion, delegates will be able to apply PRINCE2 Agile® to specific scenarios but may not be able to tailor it to their own projects, as this skill will be dependent on the individual’s expertise.
